Good company in a journey makes the way seem shorter. — Izaak Walton

Welcome! I am Christopher Towle, an aspiring Graphic/UI Artist. I, like most of my kind, have had a great interest in gaming since I was young; however, it wasn’t until I realized the real-world applicability and similarity of the skill sets involved in making them to other careers that I actually considered it a career choice. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor’s Degree of Art in Game Production at the International Academy of Design and Technology – Online, and expect to graduate in August of 2013. The setting of the online campus gives me the ability to manage projects over a network, work with varying file types and their conversion, collaborate with peers of varying age ranges, skills, backgrounds, and viewpoints, as well as afford an independent lifestyle off-campus. I currently work for a local advertising firm in Rutland, Vermont as a Graphic Design Specialist. My work entails creating logos, UI elements, layouts, flash animations, animated video composites, and some light coding for web sites. I work directly with the owner of the company and our clients to ensure that their desired results are properly conceived, sketched out, and designed in a timely fashion. I make a strong effort to create a modular workflow to reduce differences in creativity and speed up implementation of commonly used elements. The programs I primarily use are Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator, Blender, Final Cut Pro, and Motion, though I have formal training in Autodesk Maya and 3D Studio Max as well. I hope you have enjoyed the site, and please don’t hesitate to contact me if you would like to hear more about what I do or would just like to talk about the industry. I look forward to hearing from you! View all posts by Christopher Towle
